The Paramount Hotel is centrally located, modern, clean, and a decent price for the convenience offered. Parking is a bit steep, considering the cost of the room. There is cheaper parking off-site, but the disadvantage is you can't come and go as you please with those garages for the cheaper overnight rates. The Paramount Hotel has the best pillows I've ever slept on at a hotel! The views were fantastic. The hotel service was very accommodating. Our room didn't have a mini-bar, so plan ahead for late night thirst or hunger pangs. Be sure not to get stuck in the city center when looking for amazing coffee. For that, you should wonder up to NW, NE, or SE.
Parking rates. No mini-bar.
The bed was very comfortable. Thank you so much for the Proseco to celebrate my Husbands 40th. This was a very nice gesture.
My husband and I didn't like the smell of the very strong cleaning chemicals or aeresols. It seemed only in the carpeted areas, that it was very strong. Not sure what they use, but it would be nice to if they used more natural cleaning products and there are so many on the market today. My husband says that when he travels, he stays in some really good hotels and he never experiences this problem. More hotels are turning to natural cleaning products. We were also dissappointed with the size of the jetted tub. It seemed larger and more romantic in the pictures on-line.
It's new, quite and clean.
The location was great and the room was nice and clean. The few amenities included were nice (wi-fi and paper).
The concierge never seemed to be around and I didn't get any recommendations of what to do, nor was I asked if I wanted any recommendations, which I feel a hotel should do. Also, not a big deal but the elevators were really slow.
Great staff, great customer service and lovely room with extremely comfortable bed.
Great location in downtown Portland - close to movie theaters, shopping, good restaurants. Very large, nicely done room with an extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom was huge with a large jacuzzi tub and separate good-sized shower. Everyone on staff was quite pleasant.
The shower pressure was much less than what I would consider effective. I noticed that our bed had been made up, but our sheets had not been changed...not sure if that is the policy of the Paramount or not, but we thought it was odd and a bit disappointing.
My husband and I were incredibly impressed with our three-day stay at the Paramount. The accommodations were terrific. The eighth-floor room was clean and charming and overlooked a park right in the center of the city. Below we could see people playing chess on a walkabout chess board with full-sized chess pieces. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helped us book three different tours about the area. We took our breakfast in the great dining area. We said that we would gladly return again to the Paramount as it was a splendid place to stay and was near great restaurants, a movie theatre, the Portland Symphony and the arts district. A wonderful experience all around.
The hotel is in a great location downtown Portland, within walking distance to just about everything and a block away from the Max line for longer distances. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and quiet. There are many great restaurants and cultural venues nearby.
Central location of downtown Portland.
A wonderfl reception. Thank you very much for the chocolates and sparkly wine for our wedding anniversary.
I had celebrated the photography installation and dedication in the hallways and rooms this November 1st. My wife and I were impressed with the facility and with the manager Norman Hwa at the time of the opening and we looked forward to our eventual return as guests. We really liked the idea of doing our holiday shopping as a reason for a stay-cation. We will definitely be returning as guests.
in the city center, close to everything !
The price of the parking for the day ! Too expensive !
i like the location the staff- the room was o.k the bed was very comfortable and liked your sheets and towels-
i did not like that we had to pay for parking- as a leisure trip i would not stay here again for what i paid- you would have to pick up the parking or breakfast- 150 is alot before taxes-
The room was great, the hotel staff was wonderful, and the location is perfect in downtown Portland!
The hotel is centrally located for shopping, dining, wine bars and Transit.
The staff was not proactive with regards to solving a problem we encountered. They instead left it up to me to remedy the problem after checkout.
